WOOD AND ENVIRONNEMENT

The inner qualities of wood making this material environment-friendly, must not make us forget that resources are not inexhaustible. Thus, the good management of the international heritage is an essential factor, not only for the the wood sector, but also for the future of our environment and our children.

Some figures: in 1998, world wood cuts were used for 54% in firewood, 33% in work timber, 15% in paper pulp.

SINBPLA fully fosters international actions for environment management standardisation.
